Threats to Justice in Society

Social equity and justice are difficult terms to describe, such as what the differences are and what is the same between them. Justice is a moral issue that must be applied from law, however laws are not precise therefore we need a good concept of social equity to honorably apply it (Frederickson 31). According to Plato, to be equitable the law must be applied morally to all people alike.

Using immigration law as an example, we see the process for an individual to enter the United States and become a citizen is cumbersome and out-dated. For instance, a person entering the U.S. legally must wait at least 90 days before they can get an entry visa. They must pass background checks and then only after proving they have enough money to prove they will not be a burden on society in America are they allowed a visa. Then to become a citizen it will take 10 or more years of waiting and paperwork with the INS. A person entering with a fiancée visa get an inside track however, it will still take over 3 years to obtain citizenship. People who come to the U.S. illegally by U.S. law are to be deported back to their country of origin. Social equity on the states, if you are a conservative that the law should be applied to all people equally. However, a new liberal will say that we must have compassion on an illegal immigrant, give them amnesty, jobs and welfare if they wish, of course the right to vote is included, while the legal immigrant waits.

Social equity is not only about the law; it is also about equity and equal treatment in the press. The greatest threat to justice we have in this country today is the mainstream news media, which is entertainment, or FAKE NEWS. They do not report anything that is detrimental to liberalism. For example, the Arizona Republic will not use the words illegal and immigrant in the same sentence. They do sometimes report a murder, or a rape, or a home invasion, and even the murder of a police officer committed by an illegal alien, however they never have used the word illegal, but as a footnote near the end they may say that the suspect is being held for ICE.

The Clinton campaign started Obama's birth certificate issue, then went silent about it. Jerome Corsi wrote a book "Where's the Birth Certificate?" about the problem. The main stream media has been totally silent about it, however they spent extensive time on John McCain's birth issue in Panama.

The mainstream media was very silent about vetting Obama during the 2008 campaign. They never asked him about his college days, or his two autobiographies detailing his high school drug usage. They asked only one time about his association with Bill Ayers. Obama's answer was, "he is just a guy in the neighborhood." Obama launched his campaign for the Illinois State senate in Bill Ayers home. The Washington post went clear back to 1965 and a high school incident where Romney supposedly cut another students hair for being gay. The man is now dead and his family has no knowledge of this incident.

When reporting on Romney changing his position on a gay issue the Anderson Cooper states "Romney flip flops on same-sex adoption?" while for Obama to change his mind on same sex marriage is an evolution, not a flip flop. The mainstream media goes out of its way to not report the economy; however, it does go out of its way to talk about distractions such as a woman who breast-feeds her son at 4 and 5 years old. Distractions are so much better than the truth, because Obama has been such a failure that he cannot run for reelection on his accomplishments. The mainstream media is doing a superb job in trying to cover for Obama and his failures.

On 12 May 2012, we held the Republican state convention in Phoenix Arizona, where I was a delegate. The Arizona republic ran a story today (Sanders) "Supporters of Ron Paul booed the son of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney off the stage Saturday at the Arizona Republican Party convention as he sought to solidify support for his father's nomination." This story is a lie; Paul fans did not boo him off the stage. Yes, there were boos as well as cheers. The cheers were actually louder. I was there in the middle of it. The story is a lie.

Pravda-West is nothing more that the mouthpiece of the Democratic National Committee. During the 2004 presidential campaign, they never talked about John Kerry's flip-flops. It was the tenacity of the George Bush campaign, which kept that in the public's mind. The media ignores the most hideous usurpation of our liberties, specifically the repeal of the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh Amendments in our bill of rights. Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law on 1 January 2012. Who is ultimately to blame for this lack of reporting? I believe it is We the People, because we do not demand honest reporting from the media, because we are to interested in the latest gossip on Kim Kardashain or Charlie Sheen. However, the alternative media is fast becoming the media of choice for America. The viewing of the alphabet networks is at an all-time low. The print media is cutting staff to keep up with the drop in advertising revenue and readers. Adam Smith's invisible hand is working.
